What's For Dinner???

So I got to thinking.......I have not put a real, "true recipe" on my blog for a long time......too long! So here we go, let's get cooking!

Things you will need: 1/2 a stick of butter, heaping teaspoon of minced garlic, 1/2 a bell pepper and Paula Deen's house seasoning, as follows: 1 cup kosher salt or regular salt, 1/4 cup fresh ground black pepper, 1/4 cup garlic powder. Keeps up to six months in an airtight container. Use it on any and everything. My son even puts it on popcorn!

and of course, shrimp!! 30-40 shrimp makes about 6 shrimp tacos. Be sure to peel and clean your shrimp making sure to take off the tails.

Slice your bell pepper in half and then in strips.

Melt a half a stick of butta!!! (butter)

If you really love garlic like I do put a heaping teaspoon of minced garlic. More or less if you like.

As it starts to melt, you will get an aroma in your house that will make your mouth water!! That's how you know your dish is going to be delicious!

Stir it around a bit.

Now it's time for those shrimp to take a dip.

Add in Paula's house seasoning. I just sprinkled some all around. I did not measure.

Saute over medium heat!

When your shrimp is nice and pink add in your strips of bell pepper. Stir to combine and turn off the heat and cover.

It's time to talk tortilla. These are the most delicious corn tortillas I have ever tasted!! And I have tasted a lot of corn tortillas. I think I may have bought them at Wal-Mart...possibly Kroger. I would have payed more attention, had I known they were going to be so good! This was my first time trying them and I fell in love with them. I hope you do to!

Heat your corn tortilla. If you want to use flour you can do that too.

Put it all together with some sour cream and guacamole and of course a side of rice. You can add whatever fixings you like to make it your own. Cheese, sliced avocado, onions, pico de gallo, celantro or salsa etc.

Delicious!

Yumm-e! Enjoy!!
