Happy Valentine's Day

Tulips are my favorite flowers!

Instead of putting all my flowers in one vase, which is also lovely, I thought I would change it up this time and spread the love!

This is a job for my favorite mercury and glass pieces.

I measured my flowers next to the vases I will be using. Measured it at the height I wanted against the vase. I like the flowers to stand up right above the rim of the vase. I am careful not to cut them too short.

I put the flower in the vase to make sure I am happy with the height. Then measure that flower against the others and start cutting. Cut your flowers at an angle.

Oops, my white one is too tall so I will cut that tulip down a little more.

This is the finished product.

Gorgeous! I just LOVE tulips!

If you have a clear vase, do not throw away your wide leaf clippings.

Cut the smaller ends of the leaf off.

Fill your vase only half  with water. Roll the leaf up to the size of the opening of the vase. Do not roll too tight or the leaf will be hard to loosen in the glass.

Slide the leaf into the vase and put your finger in the middle and lightly press against the glass, making an opening for the flowers.

Now add a little more water to your vase.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous Valentine's Day! You deserve it!

Valentine Gift Tags

Items used: pretty paper, ribbon, stickers, hole punch, scissors, glue stick. I will use the above gift tag for my sweetheart.

Boys are hard to buy for on Valentine's Day. Especially older ones. I always get my sons something on Valentines Day, just to let them know that someone is thinking of them. I decided on a pair of Valentine boxers and pop rock lollipops.

Have fun making your own gift tags! Enjoy!

What's For Dinner

Bacon Wrapped Center Cut Thick Pork Chops and Cheesy baked pasta with Vegetables

This was a delicious dinner. The bacon around these pork chops was the perfect touch!

First soak your center cut pork chops in a gallon ziplock bag with 1 cup Italian Dressing for a few hours (Newman's is the brand of Italian dressing I used). Heat your grill while you are preparing your meat. I used a gas grill and set it to 350 degrees.

My pork chops were butterflied, so I cut them in half because they were huge!

Rub kosher salt and black pepper on the front and back of your chops.

Wrap each pork chop with one slice of bacon and push a tooth pick or skewer into the pork chop to hold the bacon around the chop.

Place your chops on the grill for about 13 minutes on one side.

Turning once grill chops on the other side for 12 minutes or until juices run clear. A total time of 25 minutes. Let pork chops rest for 3-5 minutes and serve.

The cheesy baked pasta with vegetables was my side dish. If you would like the recipe click on the link below:

Enjoy!

I'm On A Roll

This is the middle drawer in our Master bathroom. It's usually more of a mess than this. I threw out everything that was old or we didn't use, before I took the picture. Because sometimes, sharing everything is just too much information.

I found these great clear heavy duty plastic bins at Target. They were on sale from $3-$6.

In the picture you can see the separation between bins. There is one big bin with six compartments and a smaller one with three square compartments.

You can mix and match the bins to fit your drawer needs. Thanks for stopping by!

At Your Finger Tips

It has been very cold lately! We are always searching for blankets to keep warm while we snuggle up on the couch.

Problem solved! Now we have blankets at our finger tips.
