A Tisket, A Tasket, My Iron Scroll Basket

I bought this iron scroll basket from The Urban Market and couldn't wait to fill it. So here is what I did!

Be sure to go to BNOTP for Metamorphosis Monday to see how others Deck the Halls!

After decorating the inside of my house, these are a few things I had leftover and decided to use them to decorate outside.

I placed the berries in the bottom first, making an oval against the basket, pulling little pieces of the berries through the basket so that they stick out of the sides of the basket.

I set the wooden candle holder in the middle.

I placed a swag on both sides of the basket, pushing it down gently and rearranging any parts that looked cramped.

I layed pine cones at both ends of the basket, filling any empty space.

I filled whatever extra spaces there were with any leftover greenery.

I added in the small red ornaments all around the basket.

I put a dab of hot glue on the bottom of the candle so that it would stay centered in the holder. (I had to use my knees to hold the candle so that I could take a picture....takes a lot of skill not to burn yourself trying to be crafty and catch it on camera so don't try this at home.

I placed it into the center of the candle holder and held it there for a few seconds.

Now you have a beautiful outdoor Christmas centerpiece for your patio table. Enjoy!

Don't have time to make your own centerpiece, here is a great one! Just add your candles here!

  1. This is so pretty. I love the basket you found and the trick about hot gluing the candles in :).
